off roading and mudding capabilities, cargo space and for the style of it...for a SUV it gets decent gas mileage...but i go mudding all the time with my friends trucks which are seriously modified dodge ram 1500 with a 6" lift and many other mods, dodge ram 3500, ford f250 v10 tirton and many others and it holds up well....if u add a few things to it its pretty good!

I leased my 03 Hummer H2 because I travel up north to my cabin and needed a capable vehicle to traverse the 2.5 mile rutted trail to get to my cabin. No other SUV could venture back there(I've tried and failed). I also needed a vehicle the could hold 6 people and there stuff comfortably for the 5 hour trip. Call me whatever you want, but it was a needed piece of equipment. Now after the H2 had been down the trail over the three years I had it, the trail has smoothened out a bit. Enough to allow our 2006 Ford Expedition(H2 replacement) to make the trip. It challenges the Expedition in many ways. I have replaced the running boards already because they were too close to the ground; oops. The H2 was a more capable vehicle and I still wish I had it. The Expedition handles the highway better and is more user friendly...

I would love to have a Hummer H1, H2, or H3. I don't care, I think they are all awesome!
